Calendar and scheduling

The Calendar shows every piece of content for a project on a month grid- what has published, what is scheduled, and what needs attention.

What it is

The Calendar shows every piece of content for a project on a month grid- what has published, what is scheduled, and what needs attention.

It is the quickest way to see whether the coming weeks are covered and to spot gaps or clashes.

Where to find it

Sidebar > Content > Calendar

The Dashboard also has a "What's next" strip showing upcoming content across all projects.

Status labels on the calendar

  • Draft- Not scheduled yet.
  • Scheduled- Has a publish date and will go out on it.
  • Publishing- Going out right now.
  • Published- Successfully published.
  • Failed- Publishing was attempted and did not succeed.
  • Rejected by Google- Google Business Profile refused the post, usually on content policy grounds. Check the listing in Google Business Profile for the reason.
  • Cancelled- Stopped before publishing.
  • Retired- No longer active.

A post whose date has passed without publishing is flagged as overdue.

How scheduling works

Every post carries a publish date. On that date NexoFlow publishes it to every channel the post targets. You do not need to be logged in, and your computer does not need to be on.

Changing a date

You can change a post's publish date from the calendar or from the post itself.

Publishing early

You can publish any ready post immediately rather than waiting for its date.

Timezones- read this if posts go out at odd hours

Publish times follow the BUSINESS TIMEZONE set in the Brand Profile.

If that timezone has not been set, times are treated as UTC. For a business in Los Angeles, that means a post scheduled for "9am" goes out at 1am or 2am local time. This is the single most common cause of "my posts publish at the wrong time".

Fix: Sidebar > Brand knowledge > Brand Profile > Business timezone.

Note that changing the timezone affects how future scheduling is interpreted; it does not retroactively move posts that are already scheduled.

Common questions

Do I need to be logged in for scheduled posts to publish?

No. Publishing runs on schedule on our side.

My posts publish at the wrong time of day.

Set the Business timezone in the Brand Profile. Without it, scheduling is interpreted as UTC.

How do I change when a post goes out?

Change its publish date from the calendar or from the post itself.

Can I publish something immediately instead of waiting?

Yes, any post that is ready can be published now.

What does "Rejected by Google" mean?

Google Business Profile refused the post, normally on content policy grounds. Check the listing in Google Business Profile itself for the specific reason, then edit and retry.

A post is marked overdue. What happened?

Its publish date passed without it going out. Usually the post was not ready (still generating, or waiting for approval), or publishing failed. Open the post for the reason.

Can I see all my clients' content on one calendar?

The calendar shows one project at a time. The Dashboard's "What's next" strip shows upcoming content across all projects.

Can I schedule posts months in advance?

Yes. Set whatever future date you want.
