It is the "set it and forget it" mode. Content Planner is the "I want something now" mode. Most customers use both.
Where to find it
The Autopilot card appears on the Dashboard and on the Content Planner page. Autopilot is configured per project.
Settings
CADENCE- how often a batch is produced Every day
Every 2 weeks Every month
- Every week- (default)
POSTS PER CYCLE- how many posts each time Default is 3. So the default configuration is 3 posts every week.
CHANNELS- where the content goes The website, Google Business Profile, and any connected social networks.
Post length
Short, medium (default), or long.
Topics
Two options: AUTOMATIC- NexoFlow chooses topics itself, based on the business's services, audience, existing content and what has already been covered. This is the default.
- GUIDED-- You give a recurring theme in plain language, for example "weekly tips for first-time homebuyers". Every cycle produces content along that theme, but with different angles each time.
PUBLISH MODE- the important one
Publish automatically
Content is generated and published on schedule with no stop. Fully hands-off.
- SEND TO ME FOR REVIEW- (default) Content is generated and held. You get one notification when the whole batch is ready, and you approve or reject it. Nothing publishes until you say so.
NexoFlow deliberately waits until every post in the batch is completely finished- text and images- before notifying you. You will never be sent a review link to half-generated posts.
Keeping track
The Autopilot card shows what is configured (for example "3 posts every week"), when the next run is due, and the outcome of the last run. If a run failed, the card shows that too, along with the reason.
Common questions
What is Autopilot?
It generates content for you on a recurring schedule- daily, weekly, every two weeks, or monthly- without you having to ask each time.
Will it publish without me seeing the content first?
Only if you choose "Publish automatically". The default is "Send to me for review", where nothing goes out until you approve it.
How do I turn it on?
Open the Autopilot card on the Dashboard or Content Planner, set the cadence, number of posts, channels and publish mode, and enable it.
I turned it on but I see no posts.
Autopilot produces content on its next scheduled run, not the moment you enable it. The card shows when the next run is due. If you want content right now, use the Content Planner instead.
Can I tell it what to write about?
Yes. Set a recurring theme in plain language, e.g. "weekly tips for first-time homebuyers". Or leave topics automatic and it chooses for you.
Will it keep writing the same post over and over?
No. It takes account of what has already been covered for that project and varies the angles.
Can each project have its own Autopilot settings?
Yes. Autopilot is configured per project, so each client or business can run at a different cadence.
Does Autopilot use my AI credits?
Yes. Content and image generation consume credits the same way manual generation does. A daily cadence with several posts per cycle uses considerably more than a weekly one.
What happens if I delete the project?
Autopilot is paused for that project and nothing further is generated or published.
How do I turn it off?
Disable it on the Autopilot card. Content already generated and scheduled stays where it is- delete those posts too if you want nothing to go out.
Troubleshooting
SYMPTOM: Autopilot has not run
- Check it is actually enabled and look at the next run time on the card.
- Check the last run status on the card; a failure is reported there.
- Check your AI credit balance. Autopilot cannot generate without credits.
- Check the project still has a connected channel to publish to.
SYMPTOM: Autopilot generates but nothing publishes
Publish mode is likely set to "Send to me for review", and the batch is waiting for your approval. autopilot review.
SYMPTOM: Content is off-topic
Set a guided topic theme, and tighten the Brand Profile- particularly Services, Target Audience and the content rules under Additional Context.
