Brand profile- teaching NexoFlow about the business

The Brand Profile is where you tell NexoFlow who the business is. It is the single most important thing to fill in, because every piece of content is generated against it.

What it is

The Brand Profile is where you tell NexoFlow who the business is. It is the single most important thing to fill in, because every piece of content is generated against it.

If content comes out generic, vague, or factually wrong, the Brand Profile is almost always the first place to look.

Where to find it

The fastest way to fill it in

You do not have to fill in every field by hand.

Option a- describe it in your own words

There is a box at the top where you paste a plain paragraph about the business. NexoFlow reads it and fills the whole form out for you. You then review and correct anything it got wrong.

Example of a good paragraph: "We're SF Bay Automatic Gates, a family-owned company in Oakland that designs, installs and maintains automatic driveway and security gates for homeowners and businesses across the SF Bay Area. In business since 2012. Our sweet spot is custom ornamental iron gates with smart-home integration. We offer a 5-year warranty and same-week installation."

Option b- learn from the website

If the business has a website, run Sync Website first and NexoFlow will pull real facts off the site to populate and support the profile. sync website.

Either way, always read through the result and fix anything inaccurate. The AI will faithfully repeat a wrong detail forever if you leave it in.

What is in the profile

About your business

  • Business Description- What the business does, in a few sentences.
  • Industry / Niche- e.g. Roofing, SaaS, Restaurant, Fitness.
  • Service area- e.g. "Dallas, TX" or "Global / Online".
  • Services- The specific services offered. Be concrete- these show up directly in content. e.g. "Roof repair, roof replacement, gutter installation, emergency leak repair".

Contact details

Phone, email and address. These matter more than they look: they are what lets NexoFlow put a real phone number in a call to action instead of a placeholder. If a post ever shows a bracketed placeholder instead of a phone number, it is because this field was empty when the post was generated.

Audience and voice

  • Target Audience- Who the content is talking to. e.g. "Homeowners in Dallas looking for reliable roofers, property managers needing commercial roofing partners".
  • Tone of Voice- e.g. "Professional but friendly", "authoritative", "casual and fun".
  • Content language- Auto-detect from the website, or force a language. Supported: English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, Portuguese, Polish.
  • Business timezone- Controls what "9am Tuesday" means when scheduling. If this is not set, scheduling uses UTC, which is a common cause of posts appearing at unexpected local times.

Niche intelligence

A specialist content pack for your industry, plus a short set of yes/no facts that generic website copy cannot safely guess. These control how technical the writing gets and which claims about the company the AI is allowed to make. Leaving an answer as "Not confirmed" is fine- it simply means the AI will avoid claiming it.

Additional context / content rules

Free-text standing instructions applied to everything generated for this project. This is where you put your must-always and must-never rules.

Examples: "Never mention competitor names." "Always emphasise our 15-year warranty." "Always include a call to action for a free inspection." "We're family-owned and operated- mention it where natural." "Never claim we offer 24/7 emergency service."

Google listing context

Details pulled from the Google Business Profile listing, used to keep content consistent with what customers see on Google.

Brand voice examples

Beyond the tone setting, you can save actual examples of writing you like, and NexoFlow will use the most relevant ones as a style reference when it writes.

Examples are saved per surface- blog, social, or Google Business Profile- and social examples can optionally be tied to a single network. This means you can teach a chatty Instagram voice and a formal LinkedIn voice separately.

This is the most effective fix when the tone is nearly right but not quite.

Common questions

My content is generic. How do I fix it?

Fill in the Brand Profile properly- especially Services, Target Audience and Additional Context- and run Sync Website so it learns from the real site. Then save a couple of Brand Voice Examples of writing you like.

The AI keeps saying something about my business that is not true.

Two places to check. First, correct the Brand Profile field it came from. Second, add an explicit rule under Additional Context, e.g. "Never claim we offer 24/7 emergency service."

My posts show "[your phone number]" instead of a real number.

The phone field in Contact Details was empty when that post was generated. Fill it in and regenerate the post. Existing posts are not rewritten retroactively- you need to regenerate or edit them.

Can I have it write in a language other than English?

Yes. Set Content language in the profile. It can also auto-detect the language from the website.

My posts publish at the wrong time of day.

Set the Business timezone in the Brand Profile. Without it, scheduling defaults to UTC.

How do I make it sound like me?

Set Tone of Voice, then save Brand Voice Examples- real samples of writing you like. Examples influence style far more strongly than a tone description.

Do I have to fill this in for every project?

Yes. Each project is a different business, so each has its own profile.

I changed the Brand Profile. Does old content update?

No. The profile is applied at the moment content is generated. Existing drafts and published posts stay as they are- regenerate them if you want them to reflect the change.
