Analytics- measuring what the content did

Analytics brings results from your own channels back into NexoFlow, so you can see whether the content is actually working rather than just that it published.

What it is

Analytics brings results from your own channels back into NexoFlow, so you can see whether the content is actually working rather than just that it published.

Where to find it

Sidebar > Content > Analytics

What it shows

Google analytics (GA4)

Website traffic: Sessions, Users, Views. Requires connecting your Google Analytics account and picking the property.

Google search console

How the site performs in Google Search: Clicks, Impressions, Average position, and which keywords are bringing people in. Requires connecting Search Console and picking the property.

Social performance

Engagement on published social posts, and account-level numbers such as followers, reach and impressions for connected Facebook and Instagram accounts.

These are captured daily and stored, so you can see long-run trends. Social platforms only serve a short recent window themselves- the history exists because NexoFlow keeps it.

Google business profile

Performance of your Google Business Profile listing.

Site health and speed

A measured check of the website: performance, SEO, accessibility and best practices scores, plus how fast the main content loads, how quickly the page responds to taps, and how much the layout shifts while loading.

This is measured on mobile by default, because mobile is what Google ranks on.

Connecting Google analytics and search console

Both connect the same way:

1. Connect the Google account that has access to the property. 2. Pick which property to use. This second step is required- connecting the account alone does not finish the setup, and is the usual reason a customer sees "connected" but no data.

You need at least read access to the property in Google. Both can be disconnected at any time.

Common questions

How do I see if my content is working?

Open Analytics. Google Analytics shows traffic, Search Console shows search clicks and rankings, and the social section shows engagement per post.

I connected Google Analytics but see no data.

After connecting the account you must also PICK A PROPERTY. Until you do, there is nothing to read. Also note that a brand new property has no history to show.

Do I need Google Analytics to use NexoFlow?

No. It is optional. Without it you still see social engagement and publishing results, you just do not see website traffic.

Why does Search Console show fewer clicks than Analytics shows sessions?

They measure different things. Search Console counts clicks from Google Search only; Analytics counts all visits from every source.

How far back does social data go?

NexoFlow captures daily snapshots and keeps them, so history builds from the point you connected the account. The platforms themselves only expose a short recent window, so data before you connected is not retrievable.

What is the site health score?

A measured audit of the website covering performance, SEO, accessibility and best practices, plus real loading metrics. It is measured on mobile because that is what Google ranks on.

How quickly do results appear after publishing?

Social engagement appears within hours. Search results take much longer- weeks to months for new content to rank. Content marketing is slow by nature; this is normal, not a fault.

Troubleshooting

SYMPTOM: "Could not load Google Analytics data"

Reconnect the Google account and re-select the property. Google access expires periodically.

SYMPTOM: No properties listed when connecting

The Google account you signed in with has no access to any property. Sign in with the account that actually owns or is granted access to it.

SYMPTOM: Social numbers are missing for a channel

Only Facebook and Instagram have account-level daily metrics. Check also that the connection is healthy and does not need reconnecting.
