Troubleshooting- disconnected or broken channels
This is normal and happens to every tool that posts on your behalf. Platforms expire access deliberately, and revoke it whenever something about the account changes.
Why connections break
This is normal and happens to every tool that posts on your behalf. Platforms expire access deliberately, and revoke it whenever something about the account changes.
Common causes:
- Normal token expiry. Meta (Facebook and Instagram) tokens are especially short-lived.
- The account password was changed.
- NexoFlow was removed from the account's connected/authorised apps.
- An Instagram account was switched from Professional back to Personal.
- Admin rights on the Facebook Page were removed or changed.
- The Page, channel or listing was deactivated or suspended.
- A Google Business Profile listing was moved, re-verified or suspended.
NexoFlow marks the channel as needing reconnection, shows a Reconnect prompt on Social & Channels, and emails you- so you find out before a week of posts silently fails.
THE FIX IS ALWAYS THE SAME: click Reconnect and sign in to the platform again.
Platform-specific requirements
Must be a PROFESSIONAL account (Business or Creator) AND linked to a Facebook Page. Personal Instagram accounts cannot be published to by any third-party tool- this is Instagram's rule, not a NexoFlow limitation. Fix: in the Instagram app, Settings > Account type, switch to Professional and link it to a Facebook Page. Then reconnect.
Instagram also requires an image or video on every post.
Must be a PAGE, not a personal profile, and you must be an admin of that Page.
Google business profile
The Google account you sign in with must have MANAGER or OWNER access to the listing. Viewer access is not enough, and is why the location list sometimes comes back empty.
X (twitter)
X limits third-party posting depending on the account's API access level. Consistent failures on X alone usually trace back to this.
TikTok and YouTube
Both require video. They cannot accept image posts.
WordPress
Requires an Application Password (created in WordPress under Users > Profile > Application Passwords), not your login password. Requires WordPress 5.6+, and requires that the WordPress REST API is not blocked- security plugins and some hosts block it by default, which is the most common cause of a failing WordPress connection.
Google analytics and search console
Connecting the Google account is only half the job. You must also PICK A PROPERTY. A connection with no property selected shows as connected but returns no data.
Common questions
Why does it keep asking me to reconnect?
Social platforms expire access on a schedule. Meta in particular expires frequently. Reconnecting is expected maintenance, not a fault.
I reconnected and it immediately says it needs reconnecting again.
Usually the account type is wrong (personal instead of business/Page), or a permission was not approved during the sign-in flow. Reconnect and accept every permission the platform requests.
My Instagram won't connect.
It must be a Professional account linked to a Facebook Page. Convert it in the Instagram app, link the Page, then try again.
I connected Google Business Profile but no locations appeared.
The Google account lacks manager or owner rights on the listing. Sign in with the account that actually manages it.
My WordPress connection fails.
Check you used an Application Password rather than your login password, that WordPress is 5.6 or newer, and that a security plugin or host setting is not blocking the WordPress REST API.
I connected Google Analytics but see no data.
Pick a property. Connecting the account alone is not enough.
How do I stop posting to a channel without disconnecting it?
Use the on/off switch next to it on Social & Channels.
Will I lose scheduled posts if I reconnect?
No. Reconnecting restores access; your content is untouched.
